We often speak about confidence as if it were weather - something that arrives or does not. In practice it behaves far more like a savings account.
Every time you say you will do something small and then do it, you make a deposit. Every time you abandon yourself quietly, you make a withdrawal.
This is why confidence rarely comes from a dramatic decision. It comes from the ordinary Wednesday when you did the thing you said you would do, and no one noticed but you.
Start smaller than feels impressive. Consistency is the point.
